Martins Clock and Watch Collection

Clock and Watch Links

Here is a list of links which I have found interesting, useful, instructive or entertaining!

Good quality or interesting second-hand ("used") clocks for sale on the internet are usually (for me!) prohibitably expensive. I prefer "cheap" clocks (because of their simplicity) which I buy from conventional ("junk") shops, car car boot sales, garage sales etc. At these places if an old clock catches my eye I can wind it up and move on: if it's still on the table and still ticking an hour later then I'll start to talk about the price...

Watches, on the other hand, I would consider buying over the internet: they can be inexpensive, and you can have some confidence if you find what appears to be a reputable vendor! Also I think there would be a certain romance in wearing a watch from a distant country that could have "seen" who knows what history..

I have yet to buy any clocks or watches from any of the sites mentioned below- this is not because I have had any bad experiences- it's just that I haven't bought anything. So in mentioning a site where you can purchase a timepiece I am not endorsing the site in any way. I have to say I spend a lot of time surfing vendor's sites and considering what to buy...!
